I don't get how upvotes takes precedent over informing the members of this sub, who are most likely vulnerable to the same type of threat. The perpetrator had committed a crime by his action and if he were caught he would most certainly suffer penalties at the extent of the law in his locale. What's the priority here? Votes, or calling out genuinely criminal extortion threats? I think this being a valuable public service announcement makes this a valid post, despite the rules NOT how many votes it has obtained in how many hours.
